FIXTURE ON NEW GROUNDS
CHAMPIONSHIP awards,
Good entries were received for the Wellsford A. and P. Society's fifteenth annual show, which was held on the new showgrounds on Friday. There was a fine exhibition of stock, testifying to the fact that farmers are paying attention to the best breeds. Keen interest centred in the riding and jumping events The Hon. A. J. Murdoch, Minister of Agriculture and member for the district, presented the bowls, cups and championship ribbons and congratulated the winners on their success. The following are the championship awards: — Hack. —Miss E. Strange's Real Gold. Hunter. —Mr. J. Cliitty. Milking Shorthorns.—Bull: Mr. J. -uc ■ Cow: M Fde'sian^—Bull: Mr. G. V. Keith. Cow: M South J downl-Ewe: Mr. H. McCarroll. i Ra Romneys.— J. D. Greenwood. Ram : Mr. 11. McCarroll. I Points Prize for Dairy Cattle—Mr. J. McPlierson.
