PICNIC AT PINE ISLAND.

Itleal weather prevailed on Sunday for the third annual picnic of the Auckland Highland and National Dancing Society, which was held at Pine Island. The ferry steamer Kestrel's accommodation was fully taxed. The Auckland and District Highjt • ® an< l played Scotch marches, and Highland dances were given on the way to the island by well-known Auckland dancers.
