TACTFUL ROBERT.
A policeman on point duty at a busy corner held up a large saloon car for nearly four minutes when there was no need. The driver of the car, a middle-aged woman, was indignant. "Good gracious me, constable!" she ci'ied. "Do you realise that you have delayed me unnecessarily for four minutes. I want to know at once why you held me up, otherwise I'll report you!" The policeman had an immediate answer. "I beg your pardon, madam,' 1 he said tactfully, "but at first I thought you were too young to drive a car."
