HAN GAR EI HARBOUR EVENT WHANGAREI, Thursday. The Whangarei harbour swim of about two miles, held to-day. resulted: T. Walsh, scr. 1; J. Fogerty, 4m, 2; J. Redwood, scr. 3. Time, 1.3. There were seven starters. SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. TWO NEW RECORDS. WHANGAREI, this day. The Whangarei High School boys' swimming sports weije held yesterday, and two records were broken.H. Dodds won the senior championship of oO yards in 30 2-os, beating the existing record by 4-ss. In the junior championship, 100 yards, W. Morris broke the previous record by 4 2-3s. finishing in 1.12 4-5. In other events Dodds and Morris performed satisfactorily and wound up the day b.v securing school championship honours. n
