REVOLT IN PERU.
REBELS CAPTURE CITY.
LIMA (Peru),- February 23. .Airmen and. reservists were mobilised yesterday to quell the uprising in Southern Peru, which is menacing the Government of the provisional President, Lieutenant-Colonel Sanchez Cerro. A strict censorship is in force, arid therefore it. is impossible to confirm reports to the effect that the entile southern half of the country is in revolt. The Government admits, however, that the city of Arequipa was captured by rebel troops on Friday night. Several loyal officials were in the defence of the city. Troops are now marching on Arequipa to crush the rebellion.
