FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES
GAS SHARES SELLING
MANY LINES FIRMER
Business on the local Stock Exchange has been only moderate since last report. Auckland Gas lias been in steady demand, and there have been sales of both issues with prices unaltered. At this morning's call there was a fair inquiry for banking shares, .and buyers for New South Wales moved their limits up to £2-1 10/. Commercials had buyers at 13/3. and for New Zedands £2 6/9 was available. Insurance also were rather better, with £1 16/3 offered for New Zealands, and £2 10/ for South British. Following sales in Christchnrch, Goldsbrough, Morts were again in request, witli buyers at 17/. Union Oils were offered cheaper at £1 11/. The Noon Call. At the noon call there was a firmness in certain sections, with buyers advancing their limits. In the banking class bids for Commercials moved up to 13/4, for New South Wales to £25 2/6, and'for New Zealand to £2 //. For New Zealand Insurances there were b,ivers at £1 16/6, and for Goldsbrough Morts bidders went to 17/6, the higheß. figure reached for some time. King Solomon Mines again attracted interest, and there were buyers at 1/11.
