BUILDING REGULATIONS
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER
A deputation of 20 Auckland architects waited upon the PostmasterGeneral, the Hon. J. B. Donald, this morning and urged that the New Zealand Institute of Architects should have special representation on the committee recently set up by the Government in connection with the future erection of buildings in New Zealand. The discussion was on the lines of former representations made to the Government. Mr. R. A. Lippincott, chairman of the Auckland branch of the institute, said that on two occasions prior to the Murchison earthquake the institute had urged the Government to make new They considered that the architects should be consulted before sweeping recommendations were made. Other speakers were Messrs. J. Park. F. Moodie and C. R. Ford. The Minister said that he would urge the Prime Minister to give the request careful consideration.
