The Canterbury Jockey Club's summer meeting was lie Id to-day. The weather was line and the course in fast order. The totalisator handled £13.758, compared with £21,035 last year, a decrease of £7277. Failure to notify joint interests at the time of acceptance resulted in lines of £5 each being' inflicted on Mr. J. A. S. Aitkeu, owner of Tray Bond; Mr. W. H. Ward, owner of Weatlierly; and Mr. I. G. Duncan, the breeder of the two horses, which were bracketed on the totalisator, though this could not be shown in the race book.
