. HONOURS STUDENTS, AS TEACHERS. .
A welcome to Professor W. Anderson, who succeeds Professor F. P. Worley as. representative of the Professorial Board on the Auckland University College Council, was extended by the president, Sir George Fowlds, at a meeting of the council- yesterday. A letter was received from the Professorial- Board' pointing out the desirability of endeavouring to arrange that .honours students who are teachers be provided with positions in the city. In reply to an inquiry from the president, Mr. A. Burns, representative of the Education Board, said that the board tried, to arrange posts for honours students wherever possible, but they were governed by the grading system. It was decided to forward the recommendation to Mr. T. B. Strong, Director of Education.
