It is reported that after a secret visit of ten days with.the object of securing a reconciliation with the British Ftoyal Family, Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria left London by air, bitterly disappointed by the King's refusal to receive him. Extraordinary reticence is maintained about the visit, but it is known that Prince Rupprecht was entertained by distinguished members of society. He stayed at the Ritz Hotel, where he was the guest of at luncheon, at which Field-Marshal Sir William Robertson is stated to have been present.
