Teachers' .Training- College students in Gisborne this year were alloted. to the college in Ghristchurch. but in response to a telegram" from Mr. J. S. Wauehop, setting out the situation in which iht; students were placed -in the-matter. of transportation, the Director of Education has instructed that all are to go to Auckland/011 Wednesday.

Mr. Wauchop again telegraphed the.-Department, explaining that there no boats available, and the following- .reply has been received: '"Department' Has decided to send Gisborne and Wairoa students to Auckland Training College, which'opened on the 10th inst,. Please advise all otudents concerned." Approximately 20 Gisborne and. Wai.-* roa student# were alloted to the Christchurch College.
