Taking passengers, mails and cargo for Southampton and London, the lonic is to be dispatched from the Queen's wharf at 5 p.m. to-day. The Port' Pirie and Mirra'booka, which have been discharging at the Queen's wharf, are to 6ail for Wellington this afternoon. The passenger steamers Tofua and Maunganui will both be in port next week. The Tofua, from the Islands, is due at daybreak on Monday, while the Maunganui, from Sydney, expects to arrive at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

UNION CO'S STEAMERS. The Kaponga expects to arrive from Greymouth at 0 p.m. to-morrow, and will berth at. the Prince's wharf. The Waimarino returned from Portland this morning, and berthed at the Prince's wharf to fill up for Gisborne, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. She is to sail on Monday evening. The Kiwitea, loading at Lyttelton on Tuesday nest, will come direct to Auckland, omitting Picton. The Kaerpo, loading at Greymouth early next week, -will call at Picton en route to Auckland. The Kanna has Jbeen delayed at Lyttelton, but -was expected to clear there for Wellngton and Auckland at noon to-day.

The Kaimanawa Is now loading at Westport for Auckland.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR. The Whangarei Harbour Board notifies mariners that for a period of several months a bucket-ladder dredger will be operating in the channel between Onerahi and the railway bridge at Kioreroa, Whangarei Harbour. The dredger will have moorings laid fore and aft and athwart the channel, and vessels navigating in the vicinity must exercise care to avoid fouling the moorings. The clear side of the dredger, on which vessels shall pass, will be indicated by red lights at night and a red ball on the yardarm by day. Dredging alignment piles are driven on both sides of the channel below the dredge, leaving a clear fairway of 170 ft in width between the piles. These piles are marked by white lights at night time.

The Westport Coal Co.'s steamer Canopus left Westport at 9 a.m. to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. H.M.s. Veronica undocked yesterday afternoon, and berthed at the dock wharf.

KARTIGI FOR AUSTRALIA. The Union Co.'s steamer Kartigi is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Westporf and Greyinouth. Thence she is to go to Melbourne and Sydney. AORANGI REPORTED. En route from Sydney to Vancouver, the Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi arrived at Suva from Auckland at 9 a.m. yesterday, an<l sailed for Honolulu in the afternoon. TARANAKI SAILED. After loading at the Prince's wharf, the Shaw, Savili and Albion motor ship Taranaki was dispatched for London last evening. TOFUA'S BERTH. A berth at the Queen's wharf has been allotted to the Union Co.'s steamer Tofua, which is due at Auckland at daybreak on, Monday with passengers, mails and cargo from Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. HAURAKI TO DISCHARGE. The Union Co.'s motor ship Hauraki leaves Lyttelton to-day for Wellington, New Plymouth, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge of her general cargo from the Pacific Coast. MIRRABOOKA SAILS. To continue discharge of her general cargo from the Pacific Coast, the Swedish motor ship Mirrabooka sails early this afternoon for Wellington, New Plymouth and Australian ports. MARAMA FOR SYDNEY. On her return trip to Sydney, the Union Company's passenger steamer Marama left Wellington yesterday afternoon. She is due at Sydney nest Tuesday. .lONIC SAILS. Line's chartered steamer City of Dieppe, en route from New York with general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, is reported to have cleared Panama on Wednesday. MATAROA IN PORT. Arriving from Napier this morning, the Shaw, Savili and Albion steamer Mataroa berthed at the Prince's wharf to complete discharge of her general cargo from London and commence Homeward loading. THE FUKU MARU. An expected arrivel at Auckland on Monday is the steamer Fuku Maru, with a cargo of sulphur from Japan. She will discharge the local portion at the Kings wharf, and the remainder at Wanganui, Lyttelton and Dunedin. THE PORT PIRIE. In continuation of her voyage from New York and Tampico, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Pirie is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day. for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. CORNWALL REPORTED. En route from Antwerp, with a cargo of basic slag for Auckland and Wellington, the Federal steamer Cornwall is reported to have arrived at Colon last Wednesday. She is due here about March 6. NEW YORK CARGO. Running under charter to the A. and A. Line, the steamer City of Swansea is scheduled to leave New York on March. 16 with general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Australian ports. RANGITANE COMING. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the motor ship Rangitane left London on Thursday and i-'outhampton yesterday, with passengers, mails and cargo for Well>;;ton, where she is due on March 19. Froi.i Wellington she is to come to Auckland to complete discharge. PASSENGERS FROM SYDNEY. Cabled advice from Sydney confirms the departure from there yesterday afternoon of the Union Company's steamer Maunganui and the Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa, with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland and Wellington respectively. The Maunganui is due at Auckland at 7 a.m. next Tuesday, and will berth at the Queen's wharf. ~ • •/ ;

TAIROA DISCHARGING. From Antwerp, tlie Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa arrived at Auckland last evening and berthed at the Central wharf to commence discharge of the local portion of her cargo of basic slag, to the agency of L. D. Nathan, Ltd. The remainder is for New Plymouth. The Tairoa sailed from Antwerp on January 4. and passed through the Panama Canal on January 21. Except for strong westerly winds and head seas during the last four days of the voyage fair weather prevailed.
