Detailed results ara (Wellington players first) :— Singles.—D. G. France beat C. Angus, 6— ± 6 —3; N. R. C. Wilson beat I. A. g eay 6 — ± ■ 6 —3; A. L. France beat H. A. Barnett, 6—o, 6—4; A. B. Sandral lost to T. Patterson, 2 —6, 4 —6. Doubles.—France and France beat Patterson and Barnett, 6—2, C —4 ; Wilson and Sandral lost to Angus and Seay, 7—5, 5—7, 4—6.
TE AROHA V. WAITOA.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, Friday. Considerable interest was evinced by tennis enthusiasts in the Te Aroha v. Waitoa match, at Te Aroha, in which the visitors were victorious by 10 games to 3. Following are the scores, the visiting players being mentioned first:— Men's Singles.—Johnson beat Reader, 9—2; Garner beat Magill, 9—4; Luxton beat Robinson, 9 —6; Hoy beat Ferguson, 9—B. Ladies' Singles.—Mrs. McLaren lost to Miss Christensen, 4 —7; Mrs. Luxton lost to Miss Mandeno, 3—7. Men's poubles.—Johnson and Garner beat Reader and Magill, o^4; A. J. Luxton and Hoy beat Robinson and Ferguson, 9 —4; R. Luxton and Foster beat Firkin and Pearce, 9 —4. Ladies' Doubles. —Mesdames Luxton and McLaren lost- to Misses Mandeno and Christensen, 4—7; Mrs. Lynch and Miss Luxton beat Misses Manning and Ball, 7—6. < ; Combined.—C. J.
