(By ; Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force Canteen and Regimental Trust Board was held today!' ,' ' ' ' ' . ' ' ■ The annual report and balance-sheet showed the total funds at February 1, 1931, to be £207,792 14/11, of which £207,755 was invested at an average , interest rate of £5 11/8 per cent. The expenditure for the year included £2000 for the Trentham Scholarship Fund and £5000 for the relief of unemployed returned soldiers. The meeting approved of further grants of £1500 to the Trentham Scholarship Fund and £3500 to the Returned Soldiers' Association for the relief of distress or providing employment for returned men. The board expressed regret and surprise that the Discharged Soldiers Civil Re-establishment Act had not been put into operation, and it was decided to ask tlie Government to proceed with it forthwith.
