The Otago-Southland game was resumed today, but after t|»ree-Qiiarters of an hour, play was abandqnod, owing to rain. Otago, with 355 runs- for six wickets, declared the innings closed, leaving Southland 224 to get to avoid an innings defeat. When stumps were drawn, Southland had lost two wickets for 32 (Lea 20 not out).
