COMPANY AFFAIRS.
WINCHCOMBE, CARSON, LTD. INTERIM DIVIDEND PASSED. Owing to the uncertain financial and political outlook, the directors of Winchcombe Carson, Ltd. (Sydney), e decided not' to pay the usual interim halfyearly dividend. The company's turnover has been well maintained during the past half-year, but they consider it wise to carry forward the net profit earned, and await the result of the full year's business. In its last year the company paid a dividend of 7 per cent, which was a reduced rate.
