BOXING FOR CHARITY.
BOUT AT CARLAW PARK. IN AID OF EARTHQUAKE FUNDS. Great interest is being taken in the boxing contest which will be staged at Carlaw Park on Saturday afternoon between Bobby Blav and Archie Hughes, by regular followers of the sport and by those to whom it has recommended itself on account of the proceeds going to the earthquake fund for the relief of the sufferers in the Napier district.' The Northern Boxing Association's action in devoting the proceeds to this cause has met with approval from the ge'neral public, and so great is the interest that a record crowd, is expected.
