TE AROHA V. SPRINGDALE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, Friday. The Te Arolia Domain . Tennis Club players journeyed to Springd.ile on Wednesday and were beaten in the aggregate by 89 points to 78. Following are the scores, Springdale players being mentioned first:— Men's Singles.—Malcolm beat Reader, 9—B ; Wagstaff lost to Magill, 7—9 ; Hunger lost to Bush, 7—9; Ray beat Ferguson, 9—6. Men's Doubles.—Malcolm and Wagstaff lost to Reader and Magill, C—9; Hunger and Ray lost to Bush and Ferguson, 4—9; Malcolm and Johansen beat Slierwin and Ferguson, 9—6. Ladies' Singles.—Miss Hunger beat Miss Clirlstensen, 7—6 ; Miss Malcolm beat Miss Mandeno, 7 —4. Ladies' Doubles.—Misses Hunger and Malcolm lost to Misseß Christensen and Mandeno, 3^—7; Mrs. Johansen and Miss Love lost to Misses Arnold and Henderson, 6 —7. Combined Doubles.—Miss Love and Malcolm beat Miss Arnold and Sherwin, 9—7; Mrs. Johansen and F. Johansen lost to Miss Henderson and Firkin, 2—7. In the Te Aroha Club competitions the ladies' handicap singles was won by Miss Ray, and the men's singles by Barriball.
