N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS. ARRANGEMENTS IN DUNEDIN. ' (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! DUNEDIN this day. , Advice has been received from the New Zealand,. Council that. the. programme for the New Zealand track and field championships": at Dunedin on February 2T and 28 has now been definitely approved, with the exception, of the fafefc that the council has decided, that the one mile event shall be-held oh the. 'first, day in place of the half-mile-.,'(which will -now be held on the second day),, and that the. 'three-mile championship has also been approved. ,; The council advises' that. Mr. R. W. McVilly was appointed'referee, arid Mr. A. Bain judge of the walking. _ The local centre is to he asked to nominate a cycling referee.: ■ '•> " The handicap events at the meeting, have been approved, and it was decided that trophies for such events should be valued at"3o/ for firsthand'! 15/.. for second. .
