FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARL.
MODERATE BUSINESS
A fair number _of sales have been completed since last report. One of National of New Zealand at £4 18/ and one of Union at £S 2/6 reflected the substantial drop in values which has occurred since the previous sales made in December. In the case of Union the drop has been acccntuated by the announcemnt of a reduced dividend rate. Bank of New Zealands continue to ease, and a sale at £2 S/6 marks the lowest level accepted for this scrip since the present slump began. At this morning's call bidding wa *L dull. Australians of Commerce were on offer at 10/6. Waihis were steady, with buyers at 15/, and Mount Lyells, after sales at 18/6 and 18/9, still had buyers at the lower figure. Goldsbrough, Morts were available at 16/9, and Colonial Sugars at £31 15/. P. and 0. shares were asked for at £2, and Dominion Pictures were offered at £ 1 0/6. For New Zealand Breweries £1 10/ was the highest bid, with holders asking £1 14/. The Noon Call. There was little activity during the morning, and only one sale to report at the noon call. With fresh bidding buyers of Commercials dropped their offers 3d to 14/3, and for Bank of New Zealands £2 7/6 was the highest bid. Holders of Mount Lyell shares raised their limits to 19/3 and of Waihis to 16/. War Bonds, 4Yz (1938) were offered at £96 17/6, with no buyers. SALES COMPLETED. Last Sale. AT THE 10 A.M.
