PERSONAL.
Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, of Wellington, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Mr. M. L. Stiver and Mr. E. Oettler, of New York, are staying at Hotel Cargen. The Hon. W. Snodgrass, M.L.C., arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Mr. W. J. Candler, of Sydney, arrived in Auckland by the Tofua yesterday, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. E. Pearce, of Suva, arrived by the Tofua yesterday on a month's holiday visit. He is staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. I. Salek, honorary registrar of the New Zealand Federation of Justices of the Peace, of Wellington, and Mrs. Salek, are staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. A. W. 0. Travcrs, of Wellington, has been appointed a delegate of the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Centre to the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, in succession to Mr. E. G. Guy, who has resigned in view of his impending departure from Wellington for Rotorua. Mr. Travers is president of the Wellington Athletic Sports Club, and a representative of the N.Z.A.A.A. on the Olympic Games Council.
