A WOMAN ACADEMICIAN,
The memoirs of Dr. Gustav S,tresemann, who was •so powerful as Germany's Foreign Secretary, are being prepared for publication. A great mass of material has to be dealt wftli, and it is not possible to say when the book will be ready, but an English edition lias already been arranged for.
Mr. Winstone .Churchill's autobiography of his early life has been one of the most successful books .of the year. He is at present engaged on a series of articles, and later he will undertake a new volume for his war history, "The World. Crisis." It is to he devoted to the Eastern Front, a subject which the work does 'not at present cover.
Mr. Christopher Morley, who has written a new novel called "Rudolph and Amina," is on the staff of the wellknown New York, journal "The Saturday Review of Literature." This is his first book of fiction in two years. The stage version of his last book, "Thunder 011 the Left," caused something of a sensation when it was produced in London in 1928. Mr. Morley's brother, Frank, lives in London. Both Christopher and Frank, and a third brother, Felix, who now works, as a journalist in America, were educated at Oxford.
