ALLOCATIONS TO STATES.

(Received 10 a,m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Premier of New South Wales, Mr. J. H. Lang, has announced that lie will not be attending next' day's important meeting of the Federal Loan. Council nor will New South Wales be represented at any future meetings of the council. A message from Canberra states that the Commonwealth Treasury has allocated the £28,000,000 conversion loan as follows: —Common wealth, £18,527,000; New South Wales, £'2,409,000; Victoria, £4,421,000; South Australia, £2,484,000;Tasmania £99,000. The other States were not concerned in any maturing securities and therefore do not participate. The loan was oversubscribed by £2,000,000, and this sum has not yet been allocated.
