RIOTERS IN EGYPT.
IMPRISONMENT AND LASHES.
CAIRO, January 7. The Mansurah Assize Court, after the trial of GS Egyptians, who were arrested at Mansurah during the riots on July S, in which two policemen and- six citizens were killed, acquitted all those who were accused of the manslaughter of the constables. The Court liberated nine of the accused, sentenced seven to receive pine lashes, three to 15 days' imprisonment, nine to \ year's imprisonment. The others were sentenced to four months' imprisonment with hard labour.
There was a clash between Wafdists and police on July' 8 at Mansurah, on the occasion of the visit of Nahas Pasha, the former Prime Minister and Wafdist leader. The police fired "on the crowd, who flung bottles filled with sand at the police. The fight continued for some hours until the mounted police cleared the streets.
