TAURANGA NEWS.
The Unemployment Board has advised Mr B. C. Robbins, Mayor of Tauranga, that the first allocation by the Unemployment Board under scheme No. 2 for Tauranga district is £30. It was decided at a meeting of the executive of the local unemployment committee to invite employers .having "work to offer for completion by January 31, and entitled to a subsidy of £1 for £1, to make application in writing to the local secretary. Patrons of the accommodation houses and camps at Mount-Maunganui have been numerous this season, showing how popular this resort has b< ?ome with holiday makers over a wide area. Now that « town board has been established ,thoie is no doubt steps will be taken to secure- a water supply adequate for the growing needs'of The MouDt residents and the increasingly large number of visitors may be expected in the future.
