POLICEMEN IN SYDNEY
Man Shoots One and Stabs Another*.
NOW DYING IN HOSPITAL,
(UMted P.A.—Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 3 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. There was a sensational happening + l?ia mOrning at Bondi Junction. A man K nnedy, known .. "Waver ey Bill" entered a shop and purchased ffo ods but refused to pay. A shop attendant caHed Constable Allen, upon Vhftse entry Kennedy drew a revolver and shot him "dead. ' He then lr-rried oilt and made for his home. A seco'nd constable, Andrews, lumped from a passing tram*artd gave Lse. Upon reaching Kennedys home, Kennedy attacked him with a knife, inflicting stabs which proved fatal. Shortly afterwards, a third, constable, Johnston, went to Kennedy's place, and in an altercation shot Kennedy, who is n6w. in hospital dying. ;• The police seized a.'great quantity ot ammunition i'n Kennedy's rooms.
