TROUBLE IN GERMANY.

LONDON, January 1. • The Berlin correspondent of the "Times" says a strike of 300*100 miners is threatened in the Ruhr, owing to the collapse of the negotiations. The .employers demand an 8 per cent reduction in wages from January 15'. The miners will not accept more than 4 per cent.
