The Marton Racing Club's summer meeting opened to-day in fine weather, with a large attendance. The track was good and email fields were the order of the day. The totalisator handled £10,029, compared with £27,985 for the first day last year. After the first race an inquiry was held into the alleged interference by Tar Baby with Valueless, but the judicial committee decided that any interference was purely accidental and did not affect the result.
