ARTIST'S DEATH.
SIR. GEORGE SHERIFF. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) f WANGANUI, this day. The death has occurred of Mr. George Sheriff, the well-known New Zealand artist. The deceased was a pioneer of art in Wanganui and took many prizes in New Zealand and the Old Country. One picture in particular, "A Present from the Country," now in the Art Gallery here, is recognised as a masterpiece.
