TROTTING TRACKS.

WORK AT OTAHUHU.

KOHARA'S FINE MILE AND HALF.

VERY LITTLE DOING AT EPSOM

Although the tracks at Epsom" this morning were in good order there was no work of any consequence recorded and the 'horses were restricted to 6teady work. Mountain Bell was hoppled up and allowed to stride along comfortably for two miles without ever 'being asked to show speed. She pulled xip all right. Brutus was another with the straps on. He was given a serviceable taek. At Otahuhu both the grass and clay tracks were open and were in good order. Kohara was responsible for the star turn of the morning. Driven by S. Groat the Cup torse was sent a mile and a half on the grass. The pace was on from the start and he stepped the first mile in 2.15 3-5, and then came home in great style to do the last half in 1.5 2-5, making 3.21 for 'tlie-f ull distance. This is a particularly good effort on the grass. Jewel Pointer (E. August) and Hal Chimes (S. August) were eent two miles, which they stepped in 4.42, coming home the last half in 1.8. Both paced well and finished strongly. Gold Sovereign gave Gold Realm a start of about four seconds and beat her easily at the end of two miles. Gold Sovereign came the last Jialf in -1.10, Gold Realm taking 1.13 ho. Lady Yvonne (Mitchell) and Great Ballin (Robertson) were companions over a -mile and a half. ' They recorded 3.41, Lady Yvouno doing best and. recording 1.10 for the final half. Stanmoor (S. August), Glandore (McGarry) and Rockburn (R. August) were associated over, two miles. Stanmoor stood the others up a substantial start, but could not get to Glandore, who finished k front in 4.42. Stanmoor went 4.38, ibut Rockburn did not see the journey out and finished well back. Yesterday morning P. T. Griaimond worked Sunshower two miles and Some Dillon a mile and a half. Some Dillon did not handle the grass track with confidence.
