HIGHER TARIFF.
WHEAT IN TJNITBD STATES. (EecelTed 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, December 3. It is learned that the Agricultural Committee in the Senate has been discussing the question of raising the wheat tariff now standing at 42 cents. Such a move, while it might have a beneficial effect cm political fortunes, is considered byrfarm experts as probably mm-ecessary from an economic point of view.
