TAIHAPE AND DISTRICT CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Taihape Athletic Club last evening correspondence was tabled from the Wanganui-Taranaki Centre advising that the American team of athletes, which includes Messrs. Kisser, Simpson, and Rothert, -will compete in Taihape on St. Patrick's Day, March 18. Tbe Taihape Club is to find £40, its share of the,guarantee. The flood-lighting system installed on the Domain this week by tbe borough council was considered extremely satisfactory. Don Evans, the New Zealand mile and half mile champion, who will be competing at the St. Patrick's Day meeting, will also be running against the visitors at Christchurch on March 7.
