The Pokaka Tennis Club, King Country. held a plain and fancy dress dance in* Mr. Watson's hall last Saturday . night. Neilson; cream fuji; Miss D. Pederson, princess blue; Miss Barakat, fawn jersey silk: Miss Floyd (Horopito), pink taffeta: Miss L. Watson, pale blue taffeta; Miss M. Dillon, floral' voile; Miss J. Bird (Raetihi), figured rayon: Miss Pat Dixon, Old Dutch; Miss E.* Creighton, Spanish dancer; Miss A. Creigliton, Spanish dancer; Miss J. Bowman. chrysanthemum; Miss M. Dillon, tennis; Miss E. Dillon, danger signal; Miss Loveridge, beach pyjamas; Miss P. Loveridge, night. Misses E. Dillon and D. Loveridge won the first and second prizes for ladies, and Mr. Ernie Waugh, of Wanganui, won first prize, and Mr. Frank Cobbe the second prize. Miss M. Dillon and Mr. R. Dixon won the Monte Carlo.
