NEW CLUB FOR BOYS.
Over 100 boys gathered last evening for the official opening of a club for boys, in the Grey Lynn district. The club, which is a branch of the Y.M.C.A., was declared open by Mr. C. H. Furness, president, who gave the boys advice on preparing for life. Sir George Richardson urg6d the lads to be loyal and true to the best things in life. Various prizes were given, followed by an illustrated lecture on canlp life by Mr. Adair. It is the intention of the club to organise gymnasium classes, football teams, and educational activities for the boys of the district.
