ERECTION OF CARILLON TOWER, ,' TENDERS TO BE CALLED. V (By; Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The" trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum have approved the plans of the carillon tower, and tenders will 'be called forthwith, alternatively for' a skeleton. tower for the suspension of the bells and a second completed. tower, i.e., a skeleton tower and reinforced campanile enclosing it. The tower is to be 146 ft high, Avith a platform from which visitors may gain ' a view. of the city. Above it -will .'be movable louveml openings for *-the emission of the music of the bells.
