The" trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum have approved the plans of the carillon tower, and tenders will 'be called forthwith, alternatively for' a skeleton. tower for the suspension of the bells and a second completed. tower, i.e., a skeleton tower and reinforced campanile enclosing it. The tower is to be 146 ft high, Avith a platform from which visitors may gain ' a view. of the city. Above it -will .'be movable louveml openings for *-the emission of the music of the bells.
