FIRST AUSTRALIAN-BORN GOVERNOR-GENERAL.—Sir Isaac Isaacs, who was recommended by the Prime Minister, Mr. J. H. to succeed Lord Stonehaven as Governor-General of the Commonwealth and whose appointment has been approved by the King, will be the first Australian to hold the position. He is 75 years of age and is at present Chief Justice of Australia.
