ACTING-PREMIER'S HOME.
RANSACKED BY BURGLARS. ATTEMPT ON SAFE FAILS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, this day. During the absence of the actingPrime Minister, the Hon. E. A/ Ransom, at hie farm at Akitio burglars paid a visit to his residence in Queen Street, Dannevirke, and ransacked it. Mr. Ransom is still at Akitio. When hie daughter visited the place on Tuesday afternoon she found that drawers and cupboards had teen opened in almost every room, and their contents disturbed. A little jewellery, .two gold presentation keye and, cigarettes are missing. The burglars made an unsuccessful attack on a safe,in.Mr. Ransom's study.
