SOLUTION TO PROBLEM.

The arithmetical puzzle which appeared in the Budget a fortnight ago was exceedingly popular. The correct weight of the thirty-two link chain wae sixteen pounds, whilet the weight of the forty link chain was fifteen pounds. The heavier link in the chain weighed eight ounces, and the lighter chain six ounces.
