WORD- COMPETITION.

FOUR HALF-CROWNS TO BE WON. "Afghanistan" is the word chosen for the material of to-day's wordbuilding competition. From this ■word build as many other good English dictionary words as you can. Remember that no letter may appear in any one. word mare times that it is in the material from which you are building. Plurals will not be allowed when singulars are given. Words should be listed in strict alphabetical order, the total number of ward* built being dearly written in the top left-hand corner of the first •beet of paper used. In order that all shall have an equal chance of winning a prize a standard School Dictionary will be used by the judges when correcting this competition; words that cannot be found therein will be disallowed. Half-crown prises will be awarded for the four longest lists of allowable words sent in by Wednesday next.
