WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.
COMMONS—ALISON. The •wedding took place at St. Mary's Cathedral this morning of Miss Ellice Alison, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ewen Alison, of St. Stephen's Avenue, to Mr. Donald" Commons, younger eon ot Mr. and the late Mrs. W. Commons, ot Mountain RoadV The wedding was very quiet, only immediate relations ot the briday couple being present. Canon Fancourt officiated. The church, was beautifully decorated with flowers m delicate shades of blue, and the bride came down the aisle on the arm of her father, who gave her away. She wore a tailored frock of white crepe de chme with long tight-fitting sleeves and a wide-brimmed cream ballibuntal straw hat. A bouquet of beautiful blooms of cream roses was carried by the bride. Attending her were her eirter, Mws Audrey Alison, and Miss Betty Wilson. The former wore a frock of mushroom toned satin with velvet hip yoke m same shade and large picture hat of ballibuntal straw, in a tone to match M?es and cream crepe de chme georgette and navy blue hat She cai ried a posy of deep cream roses. ,
MOODY-GLOVER. A quiet wedding,was solemnised at Paul's Methodist Church, Wednesday, by the Rev. P. R Pans, "between Mr. Ernest Frank M°°Jy» of ™ Awamutu, only son of. Mr. andMrsl 11. Moody, Hamilton, and Miss, (Bessie Glover, daughter of Mis. V. vv Priest and the: late I*. F. Glover, llie bride was-charmingly attired in ivory crepe de chine and georgette, J«Wgg of silver lace ov,er satin, ■ embroidered veil, with clusters' of lily of tho valley, and she carried a bouquet pf white loses and wistaria, relieved with touches ot delphinium blue. In attenda nee as bridesmaids were Charlotte and Lucy. Glover, Then diesses were of primrose crepe de chme, with lace crinoline hats to tone, and they, carried bouquets of, lemon and mauve flowers respectively. The flower grt little Gertrude Priest, wore a dainty frock of shell pink 'georgette, with gauged bodice and three-flared skirt, with poke bonnet to tone She carried a basket of pink roses. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. W, Glover. Mr. Herbert Main, of Inaii, was best man, and Mr. F, McKenzie, of Tβ Awamutu, groomsman. Aftei tne ceremony about sixty guests partook of the wedding at the. Waikato Hotel, the bride's mother wearing an ensemble of black georgette and needlerun lace, with black Bangkok hat, with inlets of cream lace and touches, <* opaline pink. The bridegroom s mother wore a pretty floral. Ninon frock under a navy silk marocam coat,, with navy Bangkok hat with toning
