CHURCH MEETINGS.
ST. ANDREW'S, HENDERSON; The 19th annual meeting of the (St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Hender-. son, was held last night, the Rev. Jraser Barton presiding. The report of the session indicated that the general progress of the church had been very satisfactory. Appreciative reference was made to the excellent work done by the minister, the Rev. C. E. Perkins,-the session being unanimously of opinion that the years of his pastorate had been ' the most prosperous in the history' of the church. Appreciative reference was also made to Mrs. Perkins. * The report of the board or managers showed that owing to the general depression and also to the severe loss sustained by the church through, the death or removal to other districts of many of its most faithful supporters, it had been necessary to practise strict economy. The income from all sources was £320, there was a small balance Jn hand, and the balance of assets over liabilities was £1238. The board expressed its sincere appreciation of the valuable services rendered by Mr. R. H. Pollock, who has acted as secretary and treasurer for the last three and a half years, but has been forced to -retire recently on account of failing health. During his terms of office the financial affairs of the church had been attended to with marked efficiency and care had been taken to keep thej expenditure within the income. ! The report of the ladies' guild said 'that the sum of £204 4/4 had been collected during the year, of which £105 18/6 had been donated to the Sunday school building fund and £69 to the general church funds. It was also mentioned that during the three and a half years of Mr. Perkins' ministry, the guild had collected the sum of £703, of which £250 had been used to reduce the church debt. The report of the Sunday school showed progress, the number of scholars being 61, teachers 10, and the fund for building of a Sunday school hall £172. The report of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union and other organisations showed favourable results. The election of a board of marfagers resulted as follows:—Miss Duncan, Mrs. Eenney, Mrs. Knaggs and Messrs. Pollock, Spencer, McLeod, Coop, Eordyce and Duncan. The following management committee was elected at the annual meeting of the members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, OtahuhiK-T-Mesdames Kirk and West, Miss Spicer, Messrs. J. Crawford, A. Cameron, T. Cook, W. IL. Ingram, W. Dinnison and A. McDonald. Mr. N. 'L. Brown was re-elected auditor. The treasurer's statement showed that £35 had been cleared off the hall fund, about £40 raised for missions and the sum of £55 collected on Golden Sunday. EPSOM. ...-vi^ The report submitted at the annual meeting of the Epsom Presbyterian Church stated that 37 new members were added during the past year, the roll now; standing at 315. The following were appointed to the board of managers:' —Messrs. R. Angus, A. Campbell, R. M. Crockett, D. Duncan, I. G. Gray, N. A. Kyle, E. J. Moir, J. McDongall, M. McSwann, W. A. Swectman and W. H. Wilkinson.
