YOUNG MAN INJURED.

ACCIDENT AT TE FAPAFA.

MOTOR CYCLE WRECKED.

Ivan Harlick, aged 19, a resident of Onehunga, while riding a motor cycle, was struck by the engine of a train at the Mays Road railway crossing, Te Papapa, this morning. The cycle was carried 15 yards up the line and wrecked. The injured man was thrown clear. He was rushed to the Auckland Hospital, where it was found that his injuries consisted of a deep cut in the scalp and a fractured collarbone. His condition is regarded as fairly serious. He is an employee at the Onehunga Woollen Mills, and lives at 33, Albert Street, Onehunga.

CLASH WITH GOODS TRAIN.

PALMERSTON N., this day.

At the Kelvin Grove railway crossing about 10 o'clock this morning; a motor car driven by Mr. S. J. Grinstead was struck by a south-bound goods train. The engine of the train caught the front of the car with some force and swung the lighter vehicle round until it was facing in the opposite direction from which it had been travelling. Portions of the car were badly damaged, but Mr. Grinstead escaped uninjured.
