PROPOSED LOAN OF £29,000 FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO STATION STREET. The Newmarket Borough / Council hereby gives notice, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 10 of the above-mentioned Act: (1) That the purposes for which the loan is required are: — (a) The acquisition of Lots 1, 0, 7 and 8 of Section 2, Broadway and Station Street, with the object of widening Station Street in conformity with the Council's town planning proposals; (b) To meet claims for compensation that may arise from persons injuriously affected in terms of the Town Planning Act, 1926, and its amendments. (2) That the Newmarket Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £29,000. (3) That the proposed security for the said loan shall be a special rate of sixpence (Cd) in the £ on the a.nnual value of all the ratable property in the Borough of Newmarket. (4) That the Newmarket Borough Coun- ! cil proposes to make such loan repayable within a period of twenty (20) years and to make provision for a ' sinking fund of not less than one (1) per cent per annum. (5) That the Newmarket Borough Council proposes to pay out of such loan such costs, charges, and expenses as the Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, but not the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.
