THE SILVER SlpP. The silver ship is ft game which i<3: ail improvement on unadorned soap bubbles. Let each flayer have a bowl of isuds (with glycerine in the water to toughen and' brighten "-the bubbles)*, a pipe and a fan. The basins should be put on chairs or stools, which are arranged in a circle. Sitting on the outside of the circle each child blows a bubble, then tries to fan it back, very gently, to the basin. As the bubble is blown off-and fanned back again the following words are chanted: I send my silver ship afloat upon a silver sea, And if my bonny boat comes back 'twill bring a gift to me; In the centre of the circle the judge sits, and she has a supply of 'brightlycoloured little baskets or favours, and each player who succeeds in fanning his or her silver ship back to port is given ( a-gift: ,
