The death occurred suddenly yesterday afternoon of Mr. Percy Brentnall, aged 57, a married man. While returning from a fishing trip he collapsed in a motor car. Mr. Brentnall was _a resident of Dev.onport, Auckland, and was engaged as clerk of works in connection with, the erection of the new buildings for the New Plymouth High School. LOST WHILE FISHING. SEARCH IN BAY OF PLENTY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, Saturday. There is still no trace of Mr. C. Lind, who went fishing from Omaio on Wednesday, although search parties have patrolled the beaches for miles. Mr. Lind went out on Wednesday morning, and it is known that he returned to shore and then went out again. A search party found lines and iish in a cave. It is conjectured that he went out again with the intention of putting down crayfish pots, and that in all probability the dinghy was capsized. Mr. Lind was unable to swim. injury from burns. BARREL OF TAR BURST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Saturday. While tarring a tennis court at MarcrctuXthis afternoon, Mr. Allan Worthington, a married man aged 43, was seriously burned by the bursting of a barrel of tar. He was attended to by Dr. Dawson, of Paparoa, and placed on the Whangarei express and conveyed to the Whangarei Public Hospital. His face and hands were severly burned, but fortunately his eyes escaped injury. BODY IN ESTUARY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Sunday.
