PROFITS IN WHANGAREI. LIABILITY IN SUSPENSE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, this day. The annual meeting of the Wliaugarei Terminating Building Society was lield last night,, and attended by 30 shareholders. During the six years of its existence the society has appropriated £39,372, and the accrued profits total £7201, less a suspense account of £958. The chairman said the latter item had been a nightmare to the directors, but it would appear there "were no more of the kind on the balance-sheets. He said no further steps for recovery were contemplated. A ballot resulted in the re-election of the retiring directors, Messrs. W. J. Orr and W. Reynolds.
