WOMEN'S SUFFERING.

In regard to the question of woman's i*ght to anaesthetics, in confinement surely "A.M.H. 1 and "J. 8." take a somewhat exaggerated and sentimental point of view. Women's suffering at such times is.only natural and surely not excessive. They cannot expect to escape all the pains and penalties entailed on them as mothers of the race. Fathers, too, have their share of pain and anxiety as providers for the family, and I see 110 reason for concern if women do suffer a few unnecessary pangs. OLD-FASHIONED PARENT.
