YOUNG AUSTRIAN IN LUCK. PIECE VALUED AT £800. ALMOST LOST IN BREAKERS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) D AEGAVILLE, this day. A young Austrian gumdigger, Spiro Tolijancich, picked up a piece of ambergris weighing 321b on Saturday morning eight miles north of Bayly's camp, on the '.Vest Coast beach near Dargaville. The ambergris was almost lo3t later in the day. The finder placed it m the dry' skiid and left for Bayly's camp to procure a sack in which to carry it. On his return the piece was missing and the finder had to swim into, the second line of breakers to recover it. The value is estimated to be £800 or thereabouts.
