SIR OTTO NIEMEYER.
RETURNING TO AUSTRALIA. GRATITUDE FOR HOSPITALITY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sir Otto Niemeyer, of the Bank of England, and Mr. Kershaw, his assistact, are booked to leave by the Maunganui for Sydney this afternoon. In an interview, Sir Otto said he had- not reached any final opinion on the matters he was specially invited by the Government to advise upon, and he did not propose to present any report to the Government at the present stage. He would probably wait till, his return to London before preparing his report, which would be forwarded in due course. He said he had very much enjoyed his stay in New Zealand. Through the courtesy of the Government he had been nble to see something both of the productive areas and the natural beauties of the country, and he took away very happy impressions of his stay. He and his associates were deeply appreciative of the courtesy and hospitality they had received, not only from the Government but from all sections of the community with whom they had come in contact.
