£548 RAISED BY RECENT BAZAAR,
' Tlie final meeting of the committee responsible for the recent bazaar was held at the Takapuna 'Grammar School last i.ight, and took the* form of a social tendered by the men's committee to the ladies responsible for the stalk.
During the evening musical items were contributed by Miss M. Hinmel, M.A., of the school staff, Miaa Jean Archibald, 8.A., of-the Normal School, Mr. W. M. Mcllor, of the Takapuna Orphans' Club, and Mr. F. Procter, of the Devonport Orphans' Club, The treasurer submitted the final balance-sheet, 6howing that the sum of £543, clear of all expenses, had been lodged in the bank. This sum included donations from the Devonport Ferry Co., £2:;. North Shore Transport Co., ■ £25; Takapuna Borough Council, £10 10/; and Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Chalmers. £10.
